We are seeing a number of general table bookings appearing amongst our emails, and very often for the same day. We do not have a specific reservations desk to handle such bookings and due to the high influx of emails throughout the day it is not possible for our type of business to continually check mail during busy periods. Therefore, to ensure your enquiry is promptly dealt with, and to avoid any risk of being overlooked, for regular table reservations please telephone our landline on 01249 652864. Of course, any long term bookings and enquiries can be dealt with by email but we do not want to risk overlooking your table reservation.

Our Loyalty Cards have been in operation for the past month now and are proving very popular. If you don't already hold one, do request when paying your bill if you are local. Our team can so easily overlook when the restaurant is busy. In brief, one stamp is earned following a till transaction for each main meal taken. (One stamp per person/meal). After ten stamps have been collected, our present scheme entitles the Loyalty Card holder to one free two course meal (excluding steaks). Cards may be given individually or to share, as preferred. A separate card can be given for children and marked accordingly. Full Terms and Conditions will be given with your card, but should you need any further clarification…

Whilst checking out website links I discovered for myself the huge frustrations of CAPTCHA on our own website and we do hope this is not now causing prospective subscribers to our Newsletter to bail out of the process before completion. I have to admit, on one occasion whilst making the link test, I did so myself.......!!! The picture test - apparently lighthouses - appeared pretty clearly defined........ But it seems this was not so and my answers did nothing to convince CAPTCHA that I was a human. Having eventually decided it mattered not and the odd robot could be quite useful in business, I abandoned the test on that particular occasion. It would appear that for some reason our Newsletter subscription link has broken........ We are onto it now, but unable to fix without outside assistance - and of course everyone is on holiday at present.......! Now that the sun has burned away the earlier mist it is a beautiful morning with temperatures set to soar over today and Sunday. With this in mind, I am prompted to publish here a small extract from our April Newsletter which went to subscribers last week:- "Al fresco is great - and such food is generally intended to be enjoyed at a more leisurely pace." ..............please do take into account, if you choose to eat al fresco in the better weather we cannot hope to provide the same service outside that we strive to keep up in the restaurant itself. We will always do our best to meet every requirement, but the outside tables can quickly become very busy…
